Some perfumes are hard to produce because the materials they depend on are hard to get.
Shadid is one of them.
At the heart of Shadid is nagarmotha oil, a deep, smoky, woody essential oil with a dark, almost resinous character. It is what gives the fragrance its weight, its warmth, and its unmistakable presence. In Shadid, nagarmotha is not used sparingly. The perfume contains around 25% nagarmotha oil, an unusually high amount and the main reason why Shadid is what it is.
When we first released Shadid, we simply could not obtain more of this specific nagarmotha distillation in the quality we needed. Rather than dilute the idea or change the formula, we chose to work with what was available. That is why the first release was limited to 235 bottles, created as part of our 20-year anniversary.
Since then, we have managed to secure another batch of nagarmotha oil. It is very close in character, with the natural nuances that always come with genuine raw materials. The quantity is limited again, but it allows us to bring Shadid back.
The perfume itself has not changed. It remains intense, dense, and quietly luminous, built around depth rather than excess.
Shadid is available again now, while supply lasts, and only as long as the raw materials allow.
