There are perfumes that arrive quietly in life, stay with us for a moment, and then somehow never leave. Many years ago, I created three such scents, a small and very personal project I called the Story Line. They were available only at special events, never part of the permanent collection, and they disappeared just as quietly as they had arrived.
As we approach the end of the year, and as Tauer Perfumes completes its 20 year anniversary, I felt the time was right to bring these three stories back into the light. A celebration, a thank you, and a gift from the archive.
The Story Line fragrances were always meant to be simple fragments of emotion, a memory, a feeling, a moment that shifts the air around you.
When we cuddle and I can smell your perfume on my clothes
A scent of intimacy. Soft warmth. The kind of closeness you wish would last a little longer.
He left his cologne in my bedroom
Fresh, aromatic, woody. A door closing, a trace of brightness lingering in the room.
Hyacinth and a mechanic
A meeting of opposites. Green floral light mixed with oily metal shadows. Unexpected and unforgettable.
These perfumes were never created for mass markets or trends. They were created for the joy of storytelling through scent. They are part of what defines us as a real niche, artisanal perfume house, crafted by hand in Zurich, using beautiful raw materials, production materials mostly sourced from Europe, and produced in small batches with care and integrity.
Bringing them back now, for a short moment, feels like sharing a box of old letters, pieces of my creative past that still feel alive. And perhaps they deserve one last dance before they return to the archive for good.
