Patch from the Tauerville series was one of the most sought for. I understood why. It held a clear, generous idea of patchouli, and it stayed with people.
With Patch Absolue, I went back to that idea and pushed it further. For me, this was new ground. I had never used patchouli in that concentration, with that kind of focus.
The perfume has been modified and amplified. It is fuller now, deeper, more present. The heart of it is still there, but the shape is more exact, the pleasure more immediate.
While we were filling the first bottles for launch, the smell in the factory was heavenly. It stayed in the air around us and made the work itself feel like part of the perfume.
That is still my strongest impression of Patch Absolue. It is a perfume that gives pleasure before you even wear it. It is a joy to handle, a joy to smell, and a joy to send out into the world.
