Back from Pitti: between leaf and flower
I am back in Zurich, with plenty of work waiting and my head still full of Pitti. There were so many conversations with perfume lovers, so many impressions. I am still sorting through them while catching up here in the manufactory. I guess that's going to be more than one podcast, too.ย
What made me especially happy was the welcome for Geranium Absolue. People enjoyed that it was not quite the geranium they expected. They liked its daring to be different: it stands there with many of my offerings.ย -> Somewhere between the leaf and the flower: that's how I describe it in my MAG that I created for the fair and it lets geranium be more than just a rosy or green accent.
And they recognized the Tauerade. That made me smile, too. (because I am biased and do not get the tauerade that much there)
For me, Geranium rather continues a journey that started some time ago, with LโAir du Jardin Cachรฉ an important step along the way. I find myself drawn to freshness and greenness, perhaps working with a slightly lighter hand. I still want character and depth, but I am enjoying giving the materials a little more room. The base does not always need to have the last word.ย

Thank you to everybody who stopped by to smell, talk and share their enthusiasm. These encounters stay with me long after the stand has been packed away.
