  • back and shifted

I got back from LA yesterday, early in the morning, shifted in time and space and was sort of lost yesterday. It took a while and a good night's sleep until  fully realized where I am. Intercontinental travel is not that easy.

Now, I am back, but not fully back to normal. I am still in 100% excited state due to the fragrance Miriam and the short movie Rose and the reactions we got to it, launching Miriam and screening Rose. Miriam is the first fragrance from the Tableau de Parfums series that I present and I had no idea how and whether it will find interest, likes, and appreciation. It did. I am very happy. And I have to make more of it, thus I put more of the 16 pages novelettes together yesterday and will pack more next week.

Screening of ROSE, the short movie, based on a script and directed by Memphis movie maker Brian Pera, with Ann Magnuson playing Miriam, the daughter of Rose, was also a first in LA. We screened it at Steven Allen Theater in Los Angeles and I saw a few of the 60+ guests wipe their eyes dry. When I saw this Rose short, in a previous version, for the first time, I was also taken by a lot of emotions, I wept a bit while watching Rose. It brought back memories to me that I cannot always handle in dry mode.

For a limited time: You can watch the rose short movie, too. Here on vimeo. Enjoy!

And while you do this, I prepare some Miriam for shipment later next week.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Picture of today: Novelette, with silver ribbon, ready for packaging with 50 ml flacon of Miriam.

  • travels

Happy Wednesday everyone. After spending a day in the car yesterday,I will be traveling all day in the plane to LA. I look indeed very much forward to being swallowed by this plane flight chain of commands.  A good rest for a few hours and the perfect excuse to do nothing.

If you wish to meet me and Brian: October 7 , 5 pm at scentbar on Beverly Blvd, or October 11, 7 pm in Steven Allen Theater on Hollywood Blvd, for the premier of Woman's picture and rose, hosted by Ann Magnuson.

I look forward to a few thrilling and busy days and will come back here with pleasure.

  • on pictures of me, dog and others

As I have stated yesterday, we are digging deep into autumn these days. And autumn comes with brochures and inlays in newspapers and magazines. Kashmir, woolen things, and happy folks wearing mostly English warm cuddly garment under a great spring sun. Spring, because they do the shooting in spring. And with every booklet more of happy folks smiling in their immaculate pullovers showing the biceps and what you have:  I remember that I need to get a new tauer picture done.

I have this lovely wonderful picture that you see to the left, made by Tina Steinauer a while ago for Schweizer Illustrierte. I need new photos. I sort of outgrew this one. But this is not easy, as I am not sure how to present myself. Serious, smiling, me or me and nature, me and flowers, me frontal, me from the side, me sitting, sniffing (oh no! all those stupid sniffing pictures...) me walking....difficult! Thus , I came upon this inlay featuring body wear for HIM. And there I really started wondering. You know, you have this guy in his new sleeping dress, all blue, with long legs and I wonder who wears this anyhow. I mean, who at his age (like 28). And then the way he presents this piece. He is in some sort of shower, bath environment and he walks. Right into your face. One step more and he is there in front of you. He walks the way you walk when you conquer the world. One step more and it is all mine. Yes! Or at least he walks into the bedroom and takes whatever he finds there. This makes me wondering more. I mean...who ends up buying these things. Is it the women of the men wearing it? Then the add makes sense. Yes, a dream of him stepping out of the bathroom right  into the bedroom. But I would guess it must mostly be men buying their body wear. Right? Most of them are probably not gay guys, so what do they think when they buy it? I mean, the message is just wrong. too much energy in there for something you wear when you are tired and want to go to bed.

I kept looking into the hunter eyes (facing me), the pose (on the move) for a while and now I know: I will get a non-walking picture done of myself. Just to be on the safe side. Something more static, like the poodle picture that follows. It is our guest dog. I upload this for Jen. Enjoy!

  • autumn treasures

We have a guest dog for a few days, living and sleeping with us, and being the perfect motivation to go for early Sunday morning walks in the woods. The air was thick and wet and the fog droplets covered leaves that have begun to show off a last time in colorful dresses. There, the droplets grew and fell like the most gentle rain through the mist. The air was warm and quiet. Spiderwebs everywhere!

A perfect morning and a perfect start into this Sunday that brings some last minute preparations and some work, to get ready next week for LA.  Before flying out on Wednesday morning, I will spend my Tuesday on the highway, driving forth and back into and out of Germany. The timing of this trip is sort of unhappy, but there was no chance and I wanted to make sure that I got the trip up there done before LA.

But first things first: It is mixing day! Le Maroc pour elle will bring some warmth and sunshine into our little hut.

    Enjoy your Sunday!
