flyerline

Added:< THE drawing is over and we have a lucky winner>

Flyerline delivered the 2500 flyers for the “Sample Discovery Set” in English. 2500 because this is the minimum to order. Flyerline because I order all my flyers and dingsbums there; so here is the link for folks living nearby and needing some boxes of flyers from time to time. The English version because I want to be able to make special offers in 2009 for my on-line clients and some preferred point of sales. And I want to serve the press. Well, sort of. And I wanted to test the folded flyers from Flyerline first before printing a German version that will end up in the shop in Zurich later.
For those of you new here: Sample discovery set = all my fragrances as samples in one box with a flyer on top. The flyer is folder  folded and tells folks that they smell nice if the spritz my fragrances.

For the time being: No regular product. Except in Switzerland where folks can buy it in the shop in Zurich, in a German version.
Thus, a happy day with many sample discovery sets to follow. The first one is for one of you. I give away one sample discovery set, to one perfume lover, sent to you where ever you live. Maybe, I will pick you just make sure you comment. A simple hello is enough …
Sample discovery set flyers, in boxes  The boxes full with flyers…

  4. Sharon Says:

Hello and hugs to you Andy!

  5. AromaX Says:

Ah, the discovery set again… brings me all warm memories back about the language battles ;-)

Dear Andy, what do you think about a kind of Discover Possibilities set? You know - some of your trials and exercises which are good enough, but not considered yet to become a part of Tauer perfumes. Like a set containing Chypre Rose, Fleur d’Oranger, Clean rose, a smoky something, Mechanic holding Hyacinth etc… Giving it once a year… each year new possibilities to discover and some of them will become new Tauer perfumes… And you can prepare as much as needed taking orders in advance… Does it sounds interesting to you? Or might be just another nice idea… ;-)

Hum, someone told me once that Italian post services were bad…
Brazil’s post services are getting the price for the slower service ever…
so far no fragrance discovery set for me…
    sniff sniff sniff

  7. Kelley Vandiver Says:

    Andy,

While I have tried most of your fragrances, there are still a couple I haven’t tried! So, please enter me in the contest…

    Thanks.

  8. Kelley Vandiver Says:

I forgot to mention that I have tried adding the word “dingsbums” to several conversations lately! Of course everyone says “what the heck is that?”, but it makes me sound very cosmopolitan!

  9. andy Says:

Dear Kelley, I include you, of course!, with the greatest pleasure.
Great that you make use of Dingsbums. just be careful please when applying the word to human beings …

    Dear Siimone
I mailed you about it. But for today: you are included in the drawing.Yep!
    Dear Aromax
I know exactly what you mean and indeed …the idea is teasing. I am thinking about these “experiment” fragrances in the same line. I am even thinking further away…brand number 2. But this needs more thinking. And then…there is time.
What is intriguing is the idea of coming up with something like a Discovery Set of fragrances in 10 or 20 ml size, without having to make samples…as I have said. Thinking about it….
    Dear Sharon
you are included and I send you fragrant greetings. Nice to hear from you!

  10. Kelly Says:

I would love to see this beautiful presentation in my Tauer-loving hands! Wearing Maroc pour elle because she’s a beautiful cousin to my true love. Hugs to you.

  11. jane Says:

    Hi Andy,
The sample set would be a treatfest! (sorry if you’re forced to mail to Canada again for me)
    Jane

  12. andy Says:

    Dear Jane
I love to send samples to Canada and I do it the longer the more!
    Have a nice evening!
    Dear Kelly
Fragrant hugs with lots of spices to you! and thank you for your comment.

  13. Kathryn Says:

Hi, Andy. I enjoy reading your blog almost as much as I enjoy wearing your perfumes–quite a lot!!! Even if I do not win your samples, I feel as if I have already won a prize by learning the excellent word “dingsbums.” Thank you!

  14. AromaX Says:

It’s an interesting idea - a discovery set in 10-15-20 ml. If I am thinking practically I’d make a small discovery set (3-4 fragrances) and a big set (6-8 perfumes or ALL of them). For the small one I’d let people choose what fragrances are coming in. I think Hermes has a similar idea with its Hemescences. The big set would be a nice collector’s items or someone who does really love ALL your fragrances. A smaller set could be just a nice practical solution to try 3 or 4 different fragrances in smaller sizes “for the price of one” or for the most of perfumery lovers who don’t need a big size and mostly like to have more than one favourite perfume.

Do you hope that it will be less work packing the samples? ;-)

  15. Vasily Says:

Dear Andy, I think a discovery set people could buy direct from you or from Luckyscents over here in the USA would be a fantastic way for people to discover your fragrances. And I can think of a couple of people I’d give one to.

On a different topic, I’ve been discovering oud oils lately … finally purchased a few precious samples from Oriscent (figured my nose couldn’t claim to be even minimally educated if I haven’t experienced oud). One is unwearable for me: smells strongly of the barnyard or zoo. But the others … very interesting experiences: one very medicinal, another medicinal-animalic, another mellower aloeswood with some medicinal notes. Amazing, that a single substance could be so complex and varied. I find them difficult and challenging to wear and it occurs to me: this might be an interesting note on which to base a Tauer perfume. Have you thought about doing something with oud? Count me in for a trial if you do. :)

  16. Veronika Says:

Oh, I agree , Vasily, a Tauer oud would be something special! And yay on a sample contest!
I’m inclined to make dingsbums a permanent part of my vocabulary, as long as I don’t use it to replace other words all the time:)

  17. Ben A Says:

I’m not feeling very lucky today (for a variety of reasons), but what the heck: here’s a “howdy” from Oklahoma in the hopes that I’m luckier than I feel!

  18. zeram1 Says:

Hello - and what a beautiful package your sample set looks like.
Are you two planning on traveling to somewhere “sunny & warm” this holiday season?

  19. andy Says:

    Dear Zeram1
Thank you ! Unfortunately, I think I will have to do some administrative stuff this holiday season. Like getting rid of 20 cm paper, counting stocks of boxes, doing tax thing.
And I will meet a lot of friends and we will eat and get all very fat very fast….I look very much forward to it.

    Dear BEn
I thank you for your lovely lines that are so nice although you are not well. Howdy back from Zurich, hoping your day will be beautiful.

    Dear Veronika
happy dingsbums to you and you’re in the drawing and about the oud…see the next lines

    Dear Vasily
I thank you for your long, detailed comment. Indeed, when it comes to the sample discovery set, Pascal the shop owner in Zurich and myself we are very proud on us because we love selling it in Switzerland and it sells without doing anything. Opening doors and bringing in new clients.
I wished I could do the same for the US and other countries, but I can’t. You know why: Because of the Swiss Post. They charge 19 Swiss francs because it is thicker than 2 cm…. I am thinking of making it available to the lucky guys, though (psst.., they don’t know about it yet….)

Talking oud: Yes indeed. There was a fragrance that featured C02 extracted agarwood, which is oud: Orris.

  20. andy Says:

    Dear Kathryn
I thank you! and I love reading all those comments I get even more than writing my posts . A fragrant hug to you and you are included with greatest pleasure in the drawing!

  21. Vasily Says:

    Dear Andy,

Ah, I forgot about the oud in Orris … oud and orris, two things I’ve come to love in the past year …

  22. Dea Says:

    Andy,
The giveaway has help me muster the courage to post.

  24. Laura Says:

Hello Andy from a new perfume lover in Cambridge, UK! A discovery sample set sounds like a wonderful idea. And dingsbums is definitely my favourite German word. Seeing it made me smile. Thanks for brightening up my day!

  25. andy Says:

    Dear Laura
I thank you ! for your comment and will include you with greatest pleasure in my little drawing. Tomorrow , one will be picked…good luck. aeh…dingsbums

  29. Ian Allen Says:

    Hi Andy,

You sent my mom some samples of L’Air du Desert Marocain which she gave to me. It wasn’t until tonight that I told her that I loved it, and asked her if she would get me some more samples ( I’ve been hoarding the last little bit that I have) ! While she was at your website she decided to click on your blog and read about your Sample pack givaway and told me to just ask you to please enter me in your drawing. My Mom thinks you’re the ” Cat’s Meow ” !

  30. Marijeanne Says:

    Dearest Andy,

Thank you for replying to my e-mail in September. Will your Sample Pack include your newest fragrance ” Une Rose Chypree” ? Having always been a Chypre lover,I’m looking forward to it’s debut with the utmost enthusiasm. Maybe this one will be MY perfume ! Warmest Wishes.

  31. andy Says:

    Dear Marijeanne
I am sorry, it will not. The “Une rose chyprĂ©e” is still on the experimental list. I prepare a few samples though that I will show during my DuftapĂ©ro (Scent Apero) in Zurich, December 13. Maybe one or the other of these samples will find its way to this blog ;-)

    Dear Ian Allen
Congratulation to a truly generous mother! (greetings to her, too) . I include you in the drawing. I will pick the winner today. good luck to you.

    Dear Natalie
I thank you for your lovely comment and will include you with pleasure!
