hard working hands

ha! Luckily not mine right now…. I got some help to make the bubble-foil-wrapped-with-paper-cushions that go inside the box where the fragrance bottles will end up later: L’air du désert marocain, Le Maroc pour elle. This is my part today and tomorrow. Pouring, labeling, boxing, ribon around….

The hands you see are the W.-factor’s. Another hidden message of this post: We skipped and trashed the idea of getting a super-trooper-customized inlay for the boxes. In the end we did a simple math and came up with an price increase of about 2 -3 Francs just for an inlay. I could not agree to charging more for …welll: Esthetics. It did not fit with what I want to do…. Create fragrances and care very much what’s inside, less what ’s outside.
Hard working hands Picture: wrapping the paper around the folded bubble foil that will then go inside the white cardboard box for fragrance flacons.

And here he is! Mr. W!
Andy, you are a star dear, whatever paper it will be inside it will be fine.
But if you feel you need to be chic all the way, do it dearest.
Kisses to you and the wonderful hands of your angel.

Done with so much love and care..!

and today the air in Prague is grey, mist and it stinks badly of airpollution, still not cold though, so I can lift myself out of this by spraying the glowing warmth of L’air de desert maroccain..

a warm hug for you Andy XO.

    Ah, my busy men…
    How I love you.
Thinking of you lovingly, so far away….

Well Andy, it’s an existing dilemma. From one side a beautiful content needs a suitable packing (yeah, the Aesthetics ;-) From another side - I would have exactly the same - doubts if extra Aesthetics is needed when it costs 2-3 franks more per bottle (and the price of Kephalis has just increased)…

When I see the MDCI perfumes for example and their prices… well - it is nice and beautiful to have it in “gold and marble”, but if I want to bye them - well, I think so far I am satisfied with a sample set ;-) I would do it for what’s inside…

At perfummaking Yahoo group there are pictures of perfumery organs. There is a very nice one made of wood. I don’t dare to ask what the price is. From one side I think that someone who is busy with such an “Aesthetic” Art as Perfumery should give attention to the aesthetics in other aspects of his life too. But should it be a use of wooden Oak perfume organ or a special filling for boxes? Well - may be if it increases your inspiration…

Anyway. We have talked recently about the geniality of simplicity. And carefully selected and made simplicity is also a very recognizable side of your creative process… I’d say that a hand written card “Enjoy!” was very pleasant and touching. I still keep it, but I wouldn’t keep a super-trooper-customize box filling ;-)

    Dear AromaX
you put it into perfect words. Thank you!”I wouldn’t keep a super-trooper-customized box filling” either. You have seen my messy boards for the fragrances…. so you know what I think about wooden oak perfume organs. They allow to make nice fancy pictures.. you know: Perfumer sitting in front of expensive organ producing expensive fruity florals… ;-)

    Dear Chayaruchama
I was thinking in you today, for a long time. I got my regular Swiss airline newsletter…How are you? I was a little bit worried! Sending you my love

Dear Marianne, I can join you there… 10°C, foggy sky, grey, getting dark at around 5 :30.
I went jogging in the woods. Helps too, so we shared the woods ;-)

    Dear Simone
I am a very practical person. The W.-factor is off tomorrow for a few days… time to hurry and make use of his labor force! Have a lovely day

    Hello Andy,

I too think that it is much more important that the fragrance be great and the packaging be nice than the packaging be great and the fragrance be nice…You are a wonderful breath of much needed fresh air Andy….From a budding fragrance artist to you a master creator Thank You for your diligence and unwavering focus.

    Warmest regard,
    G

    Hallo Andy,
