rose for December

Besides working on an ever growing excel list, featuring my stocks of fragrant materials that I need in production, I am planning for December 13 2008 in Zurich. This is a Saturday and in the afternoon Pascal from Medieval art&vie and myself invite for our traditional Scent Apéro before X-mas. Thus, if you happen to live in the region: Mark you calendar. December 13, later afternoon.

As always, we will offer drinks, have a little lecture by Egon (who is a professional speaker/reader) and of course provide some scents and fragrances.
This year I will show some roses, rose absolutes and essential oils, and some scents that go well with roses. And I want to give samples of the chypre rose to folks attending. I showed this rose in LA, last spring. Thus, I am mixing a little lot to produce samples today, too and the invitation flyer needs to be done.
But first: Excel… trying to keep stocks under control…. and yes: happy fooling around later ;-)

I am so glad you are focusing on roses. I have been on the lookout for a rose fragrance or fragrances that answers my call, which is difficult to define but I will know it when I find it. Such a wonderful combination of ideas and activities…

Dear Andy, is very good and interesting news. Probably this one of the greatest disappointments for me in it to year, is impossibility to divide your annual traditional Scent Apéro before X-mas. I recently have very big interest to roses. I well remember yours sample chypre rose sent in it to year is it was amazingly beautiful.
    Good weekend

Scent ApĂ©ro is a nice idea. It’s a bit to far, but very attractive to visit. And rose is a wonderful subject to talk about and to sniff on those cold and long winter nights…

Well - if your Excel becomes a big file while containing only digital information I am really afraid to imagine what happens to your basement where those materials are stored ;-)

A chypre rose fragrance… what a challenge Andy!

    Dear Simone
Not really a bar…more a cellar. This time we expect to need a little bit more room than last year, thus we planned to reserve an old, huge cellar (medieval!) with a wonderful ambiance.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.

    Dear Lucy
I thank you for your motivating words. Indeed, I showed this particular rose trial to a few only, but most of them loved the fragrance ’s compositional approach (very rich base). I make around 500 ml to be in a position to make from time to time give aways …thus: Stay tuned…

    Dear Vladimir
I thank you and wish you a wonderful weekend, too. And hope that one day we will make either a scent apéro WITH you in Zurich, or we make a scent apéro with me in Siberia (but then in Summer, please ;-)

    Dear Aromax
Indeed, I just placed another order for more stock… but it is jsut a matter of being organized: There’s still plenty of room down there. ;-)

    Dear Marianne
Have a wonderful weekend, thank you!

    Hi Andy,
What a wonderful opportunity to come and meet you in person! :) I will be in Vienna on December 13th… what a pity it wasn’t Zurich! :(
I love the rose graphic… it looks like a perfect specimen :)
    Sunny regards from Odense,
    /Dimitri

    Dear Dimitri
And the other way round:It is a wonderful opportunity for me to get to know a lot of Swiss clients and perfume loving friends. And besides some sniffing and the lectured stories read to us this is the main focus: Being together for an hour or two, drinking a glass, saying thank you and hello and give each other big fragrant hugs.
    I love it!
have a wonderful weekend in Odense

Let me just echo all of those who are buoyed by the idea of Andy Tauer experimenting with roses! I can’t wait smell the chypre and anything else that comes out of these trials….
