under-the-radar
“his under-the-radar status is already endangered”… with these words Maggie Bullock finished her short description of Le Maroc pour elle in the ELLE of November. How true! -> I got a letter from the Swiss AHV yesterday, our state social security thing, asking me to fill out forms and later to pay additional charges… so I truly came up on their radar ;-)
If you get your hands on this November Issue of ELLE, I invite you to read Maggie’s article dealing with fragrances, obsessions, sniffas and stage fivers (love this term!)…
And I shall hopefully be back on track, working on fragrances on Thursday. Can’t wait to open those bottles again!

ELLE!! Fabulous Andy. I will be at the airport soon and will check it out, a good read for the flight. Curious what stage fivers might mean. I had a teenager in the car the other day that kept saying “Tight!”…it sounded like the word meant something like “Cool!”.

Have a save flight, Roxana! And enjoy the other big, big city!

Thanks for the tip about Elle - I’ll keep it in mind. And how is it for you to be in ELLE?

I read the article in the net, no need to explain the stages. I haven´t been there thou…
I like to smell all kinds of perfume. I don´t look for a particular weird note…
After reading the article I wondered if I will ever achieve my goal: to create a perfume culture in Brazil.
I have 1000 milles to go….mixing different subjects in the article to get people to read about perfume, putting teasers etc…
But people love my blog, they are afraid to give opinion. it is sad….
Did you see my review?
kisses

Congratulations, Andy!
But of course you are getting such good publicity. As my grandmother always said, “cream rises to the top.”
Hoping you get the best of all the publicity–without the paparazzi!

Andy- You have always been on the radar with your fans and supporters for at least 2 years. In the USA, the ‘glossies’ are a bit slow, but its amazing that they now get it. And got it without PR. The good news is your audience will be more far reaching. The wistful news…Once the big magazines sink their teeth into niche they may over expose it. be true to your mission, your vision and your success will only sky rocket.
Although sniffapalooza mag isnt elle, basenotes and sniffa reach and speak directly to those who understand fragrance , there are 3 articles on Vetiver Dance this issue. We go always go home with who brought us to the Dance.
love Your Michelyn
love and more love

Andy, that is SO cool, of all the scents they could have chosen, they picked your lovely masterpiece for the article! I bought it a couple of days ago because another blogger (Now I can’t remember who) said that Elle had publsihed that story, and I was so pleased to see your name in it. You certainly deserve the recognition, and you are the very definition of a “niche” perfumer, since it’s all done by only you! :-)

Dear Simone

Dear GalileosDaughter
I did not know the saying about Cream. That’s nice. In less nicer words: Fat swims. ;-)
Dear Michelyn
Thank you so much. I am proud and red flushing like a tomato. I still can not get used to swim on the surface ;-)
Dear Flora
It is cool indeed. Thank you. And I appreciated her words very much. When describing Le Maroc, Maggie brought things to the point.
