discount

Fragrance discount store seem to pop up like mushrooms in autumn everywhere. You own a bottle of xyz, you have a computer: And there we go! And we have another super trooper fragrance store around the e-corner. I just wonder why a shop like fragrancex would want to present a niche within a niche within a niche scent. It does not make sense to me.
Now, if you ever come around any of my scents on fragrancex or any other similar site… forget it! It is either not the real thing, or they can’t sell it to you. Now, to be honest, I am somewhat annoyed. Thus, I just joined their waiting list for my RĂªverie au jardin. (if you search for andy tauer on yahoo.com you will find this treasure). I can’t wait for their price.
While I write theses lines, another super trooper personalized spam comment backlinking to thisandthat wants to appear on this blog…hehehe…and off you go, you stupid comment, sent to spam comment hell.

Sounds like a conspiracy….like that movie with Julia Roberts and one nazi actor Mel something…..
Don’t worry dear, we know the difference between the fake and real..wait, what?….no please…please….I don’t know anything…..nooooooooo…. and we here the sound of the slamming door…..
Kisses to you,Simone (still alive but being watched)

  3. Andy Says:

hohohoho… Simone watch out: Big Brother is closer than you think.

Dear Marianne . Indeed, somehow this is strange, isn’t it? but also funny, nothing to worry for sure. Very funny… hehehe

Dear Andy, it backheel for business.
When… at a meeting, I shall tell to you as I wished to buy a lighter for pipe on eBay:-)
Be not afflicted and be not upset, it very much, will very soon end and from them will not buy.

  5. Andy Says:

    Dear Vladimir
Indeed, no reason for any worries. I thought this whole discount fragrance story is a big, big joke. I am sure that my perfume loving friends know the difference between here and there. ;-)

  6. AromaX Says:

Well, Andy, I thought that fragrancex is a kind of outlet store and they sell the remnants of perfume batches bought from greater perfume houses or something like this. So - actually they should be interested in any perfune batch they can get cheap - niche or not. Indeed it’s very strange to see your perfume there. I am very curious for the price too. Have you sent them a batch of your perfume and you don’t remember it anymore? ;-) At the moment of despair? ;-)

Well their price might clear the situation. Actually I don’t believe they are selling fake, but if Reverie comes much underpriced you know enough. Than I could congratulate you with more success as only nice, wanted and good selling perfume are imitated ;-)

There are many reports out there about people being upset with fragrancex … not getting what they ordered, not getting anything at all, exorbitant shipping fees, selling fakes as the real thing, etc. etc. Anyone who orders them is asking for trouble.

They appear to be a branch of Wholesale Marketing, which also owns Overstock.com and are involved somehow with the dropshipping industry. My guess is, they don’t have any Reverie … but would be more than happy to take your credit card number. ;)

  8. Daniel Says:

I agree with the above, Basenotes has made a habit of warning it’s users against shopping with fragrancex for all of the reasons Vasily has listed.

  9. AromaX Says:

Well after my post here I was still thinking about why fragrancex listed Reverie… Moslty they just have a “usual” staff. Here is another version. I think it’s a marketing trick to attract customers. And I think they did it before when I read experiences on basenotes (not always that bad). They just come up with a niche and/or not easy to buy or in any other way WANTED brand and many people will check their website. When you buy it they say - sorry it’s out of stock - already sold. I think that’s why they also have a lot of brands listed there (like Chanel exclusives) even they don’t have them in stock - “N/A”. You google let say Tauer’s perfume or Chanel 31 and come to their website. Well, it’s not in stock, but you may stay for something else…

I am curious how far do they go with your lavender. Will it never appear? Will you get “sorry, already sold” when you try to buy it? Or they even bought some from you to make it look real? Andy - check your last transactions ;-)

    Dear AromaX
No reason for worries about my credit card . I used my yahoo mail and so far got a confirmation note that they do not have it in stock and that the will mail me when they have it again… I am curious….
I guess they are rather clueless

    Dear Daniel and dear Vasily
Thank you. I haven’t checked on Basenote for this issue, wasn’t aware of it, but the more I think about it, the more I am happy I made this post!
