autumn ante portas

Autumn is around the corner here in the middle of Europe. Even if the days are still warm and bright, the sun changed its light, and the trees get ready for their autumn fashion show, featuring colors, colors and more colors.

Every year the same story: Looking back and wondering. “ok….that’s it, right? Getting ready for winter, right? Time to think in wool sock categories again…

Time to prepare the house.”

That’s what we did! With the sample and perfume business growing, it got time to invest in some infrastructure: A working table. Allowing us to use the living room to live and watch TV again and have guests without having to scavenge packaging material from everywhere. The working bench needed more space, thus we got some more infrastructure…

This week sees me working on a CV that needs to be done by Wednesday…grummel. I am not good in writing serious CV’s…somehow I can’t take things seriously enough when it comes to me. hehehehe and schwuubiduuuuuuu…..

I warn you I might come back to you. Not for this CV though . This one needs to be a flashy marketing thing…with some special wishes….

    Dear Perfumeshrine (Helg)
Glad the participation was good. I look very much forward to packing these three boxes and send them to lucky and hopefully happy perfume lovers.
Thank you so much for what you do for me.

    Dear Andy,
today we have in streets many schoolboys in the celebratory form. It means, that today upon the first autumn day . Time to say goodbye to a bicycle and to sit down a school table. My son longs in this occasion.
The photo is magnificent, and the back part has reminded me the Japanese shadow play.

Dear Perfumeshrine (Helg) - your clauses and reviews are magnificent. And it is very interesting to read them. I very often come on a visit to yours blog and have never tested disappointments. Thanks you for professionalism

    Dear Andy,
here we are almost announcing spring.
We had the cherry blooming and now all the city is covered with flowers, which I will try to picture and keep it for winter times…like the ants with food….haahahha! I succeeded taking a photo of my Iris in the end…magnifique.
i am so happy for you that you are expanding your business, that you are shinning bright. Mazal Tov!
Anyways, when it comes to a serious CV Emanuele can really help you.
What I know is that you have to be very precise and straight to the point. remeber the golden rule, less is more. Do not forget the important data, skip what is irrelevant to the point of view of the reader.
    And please…not spelling mistakes.
You have many good drafts in the net as resource.
I kiss you a spring little kiss on the cheek and I am off to bring my little brat from school too….
Vlad is so nice, isn’t he?

  9. andy Says:

    Dear Simone
I congratulate to your spring , with a little jealous touch (although I am not a jealous person).
The CV is actually not really a CV . but more a short brief on the perfumer, with a humorist side, that can be used by a journalist, …. but I am on good track . 1 page!with lots or breaks. I am getting there….

Andy, keep it light. Your life is your business (not in a commercial sense).
Your website and your weblog provide enough information.

I’m looking forward to october and the launch of Vetiver dance and I begin to feel really curious about Gabriel.

I am sure that the people who come to see you in person, already have a very good idea and feeling about you.

The first day of september was both sunny and rainy in Prague while yesterday was radiant, so autumn is really nearby and some trees are slowly changing their colours already.
I love the changing of the seasons.

  11. andy Says:

    Good morning to you, Marianne
I think you are very right , keeping things light is important, especially when talking about oneself….One should not talk too much about oneself at all, but then: Here is the take home message of this post (hidden). Talking to the press, distantly, by a short bio means: pre-digesting and cutting down.
As I did not want to talk in the “I”-form, I chose the form of a sort of a chat with a perfumer to transport a few key facts about tauer. Statements from myself, combined with reflections by an imaginary person.
I will send it off tonight
I do not love the changes of the seasons as closer we get to winter ;-)

  12. Marianne Says:

I see what you mean Andy, you don’t want to give just some dry information about yourself but you prefer to present it in a more pleasant to read form.
    What a nice idea :-)

I don’t look forward to winter either, when it is very uncertain if any snow will fall.
There are some good sides about the short dark days when we are inside the house more than outside. But I am in no hurry ;)
