corn anyone
In my somewhat naive trials to reduce my CO2 footprint, I was looking for a replacement material for my styrofoam fluffy packaging material that I used to stuff my parcels to Luckyscent. And found it a while ago.
Corn fluffy things, all natural,CO2 neutral, sustainable, you can eat it, and it is 100% going back to nature, decomposes easily, nourishing our soils without leaving and toxic traces. So I bought a big bag.
 Picture: The fluffy things…
Unfortunately, decomposition starts early, and storing it in the somewhat humid cellar resulted in a continuous shrinking. I am now at about 50% of its original volume. And I realized that it smells, lovely, Maltol like, makes you think of Mr. Mugler’s fluffy Angel in a huge bag. I guess I will go back to styrofoam to protect my big parcels flying over the Atlantic these days.
Otherwise, I am busy as a bee, filling up bottles….have a wonderful weekend!

Andy, those fluffy things are a good solution but since humidity during storage forms a problem, maybe homemade popcorn can be an idea. I mean fresh dry corn is not expensive and with a popcornmachine you can have as much available as required.
Oh that big bottle of L’Air du desert marocain is so appealing.. it is ogling on my screen!!
Sigh..;D

Dear Andy, is a pity that your packing has lost 50 of its original volume. What for you spill Air du désert marocain, into 50 ml flacons??? I consider the flacon on 100 ml small, it soon comes to an end also I want flacon on 200. Quiet and joyful weekend to you..

Andy: I like those corn fluffy things, too bad they didn’t work out. Laughing over Vladimirs small bottle comment. L’Air is wonderful, you want to spill it on yourself, right?
Vladimir: My apologies for leaving out Russia in my previous comment, how could I? Of course Russia is included. If I remembered how to say ‘I’m sorry” in Russian I would. Instead I remember ’spacibo’!?
I nice weekend to you both and everyone else.

I’ll agree with Vladimir, I’d love a bigger bottle of the L’air, which will be gone in no time! The photo makes me drool for more…
Those corn stuffers are good in theory, but I guess you discovered the drawback!

Dear God, it looks like cheetos!!!!!
you are going to have to write somewhere that it is not!

you wonÂŽt believe it!!!
my kid just entered the room, took a pick and saw the corn fluffy things, as you mentioned cleverly and guess what???
he said yammi cheetos….
but frankly, I know this product, they use a lot in Israel. Here they look like fandangos chips, like tiny dishes.
Anyways, I never heard about shrinking…
I thought that was just happening in SeinfeldÂŽs series…hahahahaha! If you recall that one…
what can I saw my friend… august is a tricky month for those who believe in witchcraf…
Maybe I will send you a hamsa to hang in the lab….
for the safe of your work maybe fill a tub, salt and lavander, camomile OE… changing the vibes would be nice and you would end up smelling good and relaxed…
neshikot, Simone.

Dear Marianne
hehehe.. behind every post there is a hidden message: Here it says “air for Marianne…” ;-)
Dear Vladimir
You know that I changed the size of the bottle a long time ago to 50 ml? And I am glad I did so! But I imagine…I could make a gigantic bottle for the heavy air fan, like 250 ml ! Or I have to make a stronger version, like a parfum, then you get more in less volume! Just thinking loud….
Dear Sabina
I ‘d bet Vladimir will spill on himself. Maybe take a bath in it!
Dear Elisabeth
Wow… you really go for the big one! The 2liter bottle I use only for pouring the 50 ml bottle with a special pump thing… I guess 2lt would last a life time!
Dear Simone
I ‘d bet one could make a nice meal with these corn things. First an apero, serving them with a spicy Guacamole, then corn soop with curry and basil, followed by a tender sirloin with a little bit of salad and some roasted fluffies :-)

Sear Andy,
my dad ordered a webcam for a site in the internet.
They delivered it surrounded by little plastic bags full of air.
maye this is an idea for you…
if you are sending par avion check those logistic experts - they have pretty good ideas too.
When I was in Israel I studied import, export and int. trading.
Teacher told us that once a Co sent a garlic paste container to another country and the garlic melted the metal of the container and made a pretty good mess.
Chemistry sometimes plays tricks on the less aware.
If I were you, I would stop spending money in things that in the end wonÂŽt do the trick and look for someone that knows exactly where to go and what to by.
Sometimes the cheap turns out to be expensive.
About the menu above, it is a good idea in the lack of nachos indeed.
guacamole dip into fake grilled cheetos…arriba arriba
besitos senÔr.

Oh, Simone
I have these plastic packaging things…but I thought I might do a zero plastic filling and I was just curious. I send my big fat parcels to Luckyscent now wrapped thoroughly in bubble foil…lots of air, little plastic;-)

Ahhh! The old edible packing peanuts! Every package comes with a tasty snack. Not only that, but if you lick the pellets you can stick them all over your face and transform yourself into a living Yayoi Kusama work. Not that I would ever do that.
Too bad they shrunk. Maybe a packet of dessicate (silica ships or even crystal cat litter) can help keep them fresh and at full volume.
