desk

No deeper insights today, just a “memento flaconi”, in a sense therapeutic for the blogger. I learned yesterday that blogging can be regarded as therapeutic act, helping you to keep mentally sane. Something like that in a nutshell.
So here’s a picture of my desk, reminding me that besides all this writing (I am working on an interview these days) there is a bottle life out there. You can see the bottles pouring in from the right. By the way: The picture shows you the nice part of the desk, there where there is free space for a mouse.

Ah yes…there where there is free space in my head it makes plans right now: Stocking up plans, travel plans (US West coast, October), more sample drawing plans, PR plans, more travel plans, …
Desk of Andy Tauer, the nice part of it.

Dear Andy - this picture is a real teaser to me… Since I had my home chemistry laboratory in the far past I’ve got the passion for those nice vials with labels. I feel the same for chemistry lab chemicals, essential oils, homeopathic remedies and aromachemicals - “memento flaconi” - yes, you’re right ;-) It’s just the distance and some education that stops me from touching all of those vials, reading the labels, opening and sniffing them…

Blogging can be very therapeutic. It’s a nice moment to bring things in your head in order while writing. And more - you get feedback that brings some supporting confirmation and some fresh look to your ideas.

Looking to your desk - wondering if you has a person who helps with a housekeeping and how is it going by cleaning of your desk. The mine is a disaster ;-) Anyway - do you know what’s above my mouse on my “perfumed desk”? A book of Mandy Aftel - was a good advice of a perfumer gourou from Zurich ;-) Still enjoying the book when I find time to read it ;-) Thanks.

    Andy this is fabulous…
What I wouldn’t give to be able to peruse your tiny bottles and sniff at them to my heart’s content! What magic you can create from those wonderful little receptacles!

I agree about the blogging… not only does it allow you to reflect your inner thoughts; but also allows you to inflect your external experiences. Blogs rock, and i very much enjoy reading yours. :)

“Memento flaconi” I love it. :)

And the little bottles colonizing your desk as well.

    Good wishes.

hehehe.. imagine GalielosDaughter: Little bottles are like strange creatures from outer space exploring and occupying my desk, this is just the beginning, the multiply and the more I sniff the more they get and one day people on the streets in Zurich will stumble upon them…

Greetings to you , Dimitri, and I can tell you that reading comments like yours are therapeutic , rocking, too!! Thank you!

Indeed, AromaX, there is a person helping once a week just for two hours, but she has strict bottle touch forbidden rules facing her and the desk is in a room she does not clean, hence… dust on some bottles ;-)

Ah, your desk looks like one of those places where only the owner knows where everything is! I love the bottles on your desk in the various shades of amber.
Why just the US West Coast? We’re pretty spectacular (habitat-wise) on the Canadian West Coast! Do visit if you can!!
