supergreen
I sit at the computer, typing INCI lists in excel files, switching between my lists and the EU’s Cos Ing cosmetics ingredients database. Which happens to be a nice source for proper INCI names.
In the background it thinks “green”. And it makes a lot of typing mistakes…..
Thus, there is definitely more to perfumery than mixing stuff!

Finally, talking green: Here ’s the lines from The Fifth Element, featuring GREEN. I was trying for hours to remember where I came across green….finally, it came back to my mind:
DJ Ruby Rhod: What was that honey? It was BAD! It had no fire, no energy, no nothing! So tomorrow from 5 to 7 will you PLEASE act like you have more than a two word vocabulary. It must be green.
Korben Dallas: Can I talk to you for a second?
[Throws Ruby up against a wall]
Korben Dallas: I didn’t come here to play Pumbaa on the radio. So tomorrow from 5 to 7 your gonna give yourself a hand, green?
DJ Ruby Rhod: Supergreen.
(from Memorable Quotes for the Fifth Element )
I love it.

Isn’t that one of the funniest movies ever? And, what about the Diva song (still wonderful after all this years). Ruby Rhod is brilliant. In fact, when my dogs hover around me and I can’t move, I do the Ruby Rhod thing where I wave my hand at them while saying, “bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”. It works every time. Not just Green but Supergreen!

Oh yes. I keep watching the movie and watching and watching. At least once a year. Strange that it took me so long to remember SUPERGREEN.

Ha! ~ this is one of my favorite movies, ridiculous as it is! How funny, Andy, that you found that ‘Ssssupergreen!’
I do that ‘bzzzzzzz’ thing with all the hand waving at my kids, the dogs, and the cats. In fact, I think I’ve done that to my husband a time or two ~ ha!
Thanks for the laugh, Andy.

LOL! I need to watch this movie again! Very quotable!
Gary Oldman was a hilarious villain.

Funny, very funny.
Like vetiver, the Fifth Element is an inexhaustible source of inspiration too. A masterpiece.
Please, don’t tell me that the Green of Gabriel is the same as the Green of DJ Ruby Rhod - it would break my delicate image of Gabriel ;-)
You was definitely not in the mood for serious (or better say boring or saymonotonous) work like writing INCI names out ;-)

Dear J
I have to try the bzzzzzz thing here at home, too!
Benvenuta, Benvenuta!
Indeed, very quotable….
Dear AromaX
No worries, my Gabriel looks different than the DJ Ruby ….

Andy,
I LOVE the film the fifth element! Although DJ Ruby Rhod is probably my least favorite part of the film. Cheers to GREEN, from Lala land where the green is slowly shifting to golden hues.

Dear Roxana
So we have even more in common. Except for DJ Ruby whom I also like a lot!
Greetings to lala land from Zurich, where everything is getting supergreen!
