less oriental 1001 and rugs and stuff

Tomorrow is 1st of May and on the day of work. Which means: we do not work. I think I will do some stuff nevertheless, Marx will forgive me. This, if everything goes right, I might end up decorating a corner in Pascal’s window. I mean the window of his shop. Featuring L’air du désert of course. Ideas so far from my side: limited.

Building a huge sand pile and placing one bottle inside (who cleans up the sandy mess afterwards?)

An oriental rug, with lots of boxes of l’air du désert marocain.

Or lots of boxes of the l’air, piled up to a gigantic mountain of air du désert boxes.

Or something different, less oriental 1001 and rugs and stuff. Just a white linen, from top to bottom, one box of the l’air du désert marocain in the middle, one copy of THE book, one sentence of the book copied and printed large, black and white.
And I will continue there where I stopped last Sunday, working on what seems to be my favorite thing these days, spicy, green berries, llily of the valley, woody ambergris stuff. You know….the stuff that men love. I was testing the green berries last Sunday, to prepare the ground for a natural ingredient that I never used yet. And - when getting ready this morning, mentally addressing the things to come of today, including an endless flow of mails- I thought to include a touch , just a hint of the rose oil, steam distilled, which brings in this cinnamon spicy silver flower.

    Ah, the world of Andy…
Thank you, beloved, for ushering us into your day.
It always feels so intimate and welcome.

I only worry that you will exhaust yourself.

Is Pascal the one from Medieval art&vie? Well - have fun with decorating. Sounds like an interesting adventure to me. The cleaning afterwards is less funny - try to outsource this part ;-)
Will you make pictures and place them here? Or do I have to come and see the result myself? Well, I am on vaccation in France (between Lorraine, Alsace and Jura) for the next two weeks and thinking of visiting Zurich (2 h 45 m per auto). If I do it I defenitely visit the Medieval art&vie. Are you giving guided tours through your lab too? ;-)
My view of L’air du desert marocain is still sand (a lot) and wood. Old book would give more mystery as a rag (old one) would do too. No white linen in my fantasy - too much freshness for really hot L’air. So, very curious what it becomes.
Don’t feel guilty working on Labour Day - it really made for Labour you enjoy with ;-) P.S. It’s Ancension Day as well.

Desert in Morocco, I think of the kashbas, the gorges, all those palmtrees, and at the end of any road: the beginning of the endless dunes of the Sahara.

    Dear Chayaruchama
Fragrant greetings to you, right from home, after 50 incense extreme are packed. and now, I am ready to hit the fragrant shelf and do some mixing….

    Dear Aromax
Absolutely, Pascal is THE Pascal from Medieval . And please, please come by. Zurich is around the corner. and if you mail me early enough your arrival date and time, then I can reserve time and I invite you to see the shelves and the home of the many boxes….my mail: perfumer(at)tauerperfumes.com

    Dear Marianne
I will look for a palm tree but these are hard to get in small sizes fitting the shops window. ;-)

O Andy, NO!!! I did not mean ‘put palmtreas in the vitrine’.. I was only kind of dreaming away, thinking back of the times that I have been travelling through the Moroccan desert.

I huge photograph of the kashbas would be nice and the colours of the label on the bottle match so well with the Saharian colours of sand.

A bottle of L’air du desert marocain with “the book” and some paragraphs enlarged speak totally for themselves.

    Dear Marianne
of course, of course,… I was just kidding ;-)

Andy I am enjoying Le Maroc Pour Elle and my mind is travelling places through Chinatown Toronto, some time back … a small shop with oriental things in Amsterdam at least 30 years ago … How amazing to experience this! !

  8. Marianne Says:

Le Maroc Pour Elle is a beautiful perfume Andy! It is more than beautiful, much more…

Happy belated Labor Day! I forget that most of the world celebrates it on May 1….

Those are all very cool display ideas. I agree with AromaX, though, that white linen maybe isn’t dramatic enough for such an opulent fragrance… maybe a rich gold instead? Something to complement the colors of the bottle. LOVE the sand idea, as long as you don’t have to clean it up. ;-)

    Dear Marianne
Thank you. Le Maroc pour elle is a indeed special. It is a Moroccan bazaar, San Francisco of the late 60′ies and maybe a little bit of Paris of the mid 50-ies bottled.
    Enjoy!

    Dear Molly
    Things turned out rather ….blue!

hola Andy! did you notice that your wood includes a single kiss (x) and lots of hugs (o)?

silver flowers and green berries invoke edelweiss and mistletoe to me! there is a New York wine that I drink which reminds me of edelweiss.

Happy Belated May Day to you, and thrills on your fragrant composition.
