wet misery

Yesterday was my happy e-mail day. But with e-mails it is like with cleaning up the apartment. As soon as the last one is sent, you get another one. Not that I would mind. In the contrary: The stream of mails connects me to you and the world out there. I guess a day without one mail coming in, not even spam, would worry me deeply.
Thus, I did not do a lot in the lab, except sniffing a base or two, next to typing. Unfortunately my thoughts pop up faster than I can type qwertz. But later today, I want to compensate for the rainy morning which is rainier than yesterday. This cries for orange flower, concentrated sun beams in a orange liquid. Talking wet….yesterday, it was pouring already without mercy. The night was silent, no foxes, except for the rain pouring. The river Limmat rises and turns brown. And it is a grey sky under which this wet misery happens. You get the idea. Time to look forward to May’s sun…. mark your calendar if you live in the Munich area. May 30, Friday, early afternoon, we will talk, Tauer and Vero from Vero.Profumo at Suendhaft’s. Grüezi to Munich!

And one more post :) I’ve just came up with one interesting question. Today, as experiment, i weared ultra-average (and accordingly ultra-popular) Crave by Calvin Klein. I long long time did not wear popular fragrances (only niche perfumery, hehe!) and i was so surprised when people started to give me MUCH MORE compliments for this Crave than for any niche perfumes i ever weared. What is this? People think average & simple perfumery is better than exquisite & complicated? Grrrr!!!

    Hello Andy,

This is the first time that I am on your blog. Have ordered samples this morning and look forward to try your wonderful fragrances very soon.
I live in Prague CZ at the moment and we are finally enjoying some warmer sunnier weather and Praha 1, where I live is crowded with tourists again. I am litterally working myself through groups of people with my groceries :)

I have a question: where is your perfume in a bottle right now? Is it still in North America? I am sure it is in good hands. From the description of the fragrance I believe that I might really like it and hope that soon there will a sample available for us poor people here in central Europe or a full bottle even. I mean the travelling bottle may be empty some day..

Hope you have a wonderful day with those good moments of inspiration.

    Marianne Winia.

    Dear Jeff
Olala…this IS an interesting comment. Does this tell us that you and cheap fragrances are matching ;-) or is it rather that there are well made, creative, intelligent and thrilling fragrances out there that are not expensive and not niche, or is it that the folks giving you compliments are just recognizing a scent and hence give compliments? I guess the middle is the case. But: These fragrances are rare and usually old. Now, I am not sure about Crave …

    Dear Marianne
TO be honest: II am jealous, but I hope for the weekend (better weather) and unfortunately, I have no clue where the fragrance in a bottle is. Sneeeeef. !!!!!!
