Guest dog

The last day of the year, the last day picture uploaded on this blog in 2007 and a bright 2008 in front of us!

As mentioned before, we have a guest dog these days and this leads to many walks in the nearby woods. The master takes pictures while the dog sniffs its way through the wet ground, nose 1 inch above ground except when trying to catch a mouse underground, which it never does of course, but utimately this leads to an unhappy dog in the bathroom, being washed….Early morning the light is different, opening the eyes for contrasts, like the icy leaves picture below, seen this morning on the first hike with Ms. dog.

Icy leaves on a December morning

Thus, expect more pictures, fragrant news and some exiting side stories on this blog in 2008!

A Happy New Year to you!

Happy new year to you and that dog! :) Wish u all the best in upcoming 2008, always be lucky & happy!!!!!!!!!

I gotta says that discovering Tauer fragrances was one of the biggest fragrant thrills of 2007 for me. Though i tried many many great niche perfumery scents in my life, once i sniffed L’air Marocain and Lonestar Memories they immediately got in my top 5!

Thanx Andy for such a great work and happy new year!!!

    Dear Vladimir
Great! That speaks for the Russian postal service and their perfect timing.
My best wishes for 2008 to you and your beloved ones

    Dear Jeff
Ah… thank you so much! Especially for your compliment on the Lonestar memories. A fragrance, that I could also have called “extreme”….I wish you all the best for 2008 and many, exiting fragrant discoveries in the coming year.

Happy New Year to my favorite perfumer from Switzerland! I loved reading your advent story, Andy, and am wondering if there is a way to re-orient it so that it reads chronologically, not bottom to top, as per the blog layout. I’d love to be able to just sit down and skim it straight through, without scrolling up an down.

Give the doggie a kiss for me — on the clean snout! The photo looks like some plant in the mint family, does it have a scent?

Off to harvest a ton of Jasmine azoricum flowers before a cold snap hits tonight and tomorrow, and warm wishes to you for the upcoming year.

    Hi Andy,

wishing a wonderful end to 2007, and may 2008 bring an even brighter future.

Beautiful picture with the ice crystals on the plant. The plant reminds me of the ‘Brennesseln’ I had so many painful experiences with as a kid in Berlin.

Many fragrant greetings from me to you and yours and a big squeeze for the dog!

  8. Andy Says:

Fragrant greetings to you Anya and a Happy New Year, with lots of exciting fragrant discoveries!
Thank you , Pia, and a happy 2008 in peace to you!
And yes Sabina, 2008 will be wonderful. I am sure.
The plant indeed is a sort of Brennessel. And the doggy will get her squeeze.

Happy New Year to you all-
May you be well and truly blessed !
Your friendship has been a marvellous, inexpected gift.
    Kisses to you and yours-

  11. Andy Says:

    Dear Chayaruchama
she sure is. The only trouble with her: She lives under the assumption that my office chair is better than the other options offered to her to lay down. Thus… one minute away from the chair and its hers again ;-)
Only the best for you, and your family in 2008. Peace and love to you!
