pictures here and there

I just say: Sniff! Sniffapalooza! Sniffapalooza magazine. Go on-line (well I guess you are…) and get it. Here is the link. Once there, do you your reading until you come to the section about the bottle journey and then have a look at the PICTURE….hehehe! Thank you Raphaella. I am glad you dared!

By the way: Here is Raphaella’s comment on the hyacinth and a mechanic (the bottle on a journey) fragrance on my website. In the mean time the bottle is still going west..SF!
More  pictures, less juicy but with an equal high beauty factor….from my hike over the Loetschen.

Dear Andy as our world in your photos is fine.

Raphaella-your description is very figurative, and the citation is magnificent.

We’re loving your photos, here in Virginia Beach [ our first vacation in 3 years !]…
Andy, have you met Raph yet ?
She is an exquisite creature [ outside AND in], tender and funny.
    [I’m mad about her !].

I LOVE the way all my friends get to know the other ones.
This is one of my favorite things… [ starts singing likr Julie Andrews]

[If I seem remiss, Andy- my hand is impaired, and I’m being splinted for a few weeks, so typing, and riting, is hard to do…]

Send love to dear Vero, W., and , naturlich, your sweet self.
    MWAH !

    Dear Vladimir
Isn’t Raphaella’s picture nice, too? And thank you for your appreciation! Greetings from Zurich

    Dear Chayaruchama
Oh…that sounds not so good! I hope your hand is recovering fast. We need your comments. The perfume blogosphere will miss your lines, and me especially. It is such a joy reading your lovely comments every day! Thus, send Ben to the kitchen, he should cook you the best healthy food there is and then he shall kiss your finger tips! Kissing finger tips helps, trust me!
I wish you all the best and get back to us all soon, but only when you feel fit enough. Fragrant kisses to you

Andy, you are making such good use of your new camera. What beautiful pictures. That’s a great close shot of gentians, and that long shot of the stone cairn with mountain view–ahhhh.

It’s so interesting to read the various reactions to the Hyacinthas and a Mechanic. Chaya wants the mechanic to step forward and another recipient wants the machanic to step back. Some get more green than flowers. Fascinating. And that photo of Raphaella’s–I think it may capture some of what you had in mind. :-)

  6. Andy Says:

Dear Maria, isn’t it fascinating: The same fragrance, the same descriptions on paper, and then a mechanic that is too close or just right or far to far away. By the way: I love Raphaella’s picture. It is gorgeous! ;-)

  7. Sabina Says:

Beautiful pictures! Not sure why, but the green picture (mystical woods), which looks like moss to me, makes me think of some deep, dark and wonderful fragrance, one I’d like to smell.
And people’s reactions to one and the same fragrance is fascinating. It depends on so many things: our tastes and preferences, skin chemistry, emotional state, maybe even more. Some fragrances we love right away, some never, and others have to be smelled again and again, each time discovering new nuances, until we finally learn to love it.

  8. Andy Says:

    Dear Sabina
The green cover over the stone is moss. And I think we have similar associations: Labdanum, oakmoss, earthy vetiver, green violet leaves and some fir balm with spruce oil, heavy on terpenes… that would give a wonderful fragrance! Fragrant greetings
