Pachelbel, kidneys on the rocks and lily of the valley on paper

Sitting in the train and listening to one of the most beautiful lines that have been composed on this planet; Pachelbel, canon. And as always, it is its simplicity that brings around its beauty. And as the waves go up and down, soundwaves hitting the ear, magic happens. Beauty becomes physical and the heart starts beating faster, the hands tremble, a shower runs down the spine and a smile plays with tears.

I still have not figured out WHY we humans are so toucheable by beauty. What is the meaning of this if you look at it from an evolutionary point of view? How does recognition and appreciation of beauty translates into fitness of survival?

With the showers of impulses running down the spine, I look forward to a soothing effect on a pair of kidneys that for whatever reasons seem to be more present than usual. If Pachelbel does not help we will try to put them on ice, hehehe…. at least indirectly with a scotch in the middle.

And finally the showers of impulses mixes with scented waves coming from a paper strip, featuring a vetiver trial of a couple of weeks ago. I can’t wait to have more time to work on this one.

Talking time….time to say byebye for the weekend. Enjoy!

Dear Andy this name for big philosophic works.
You well are able to set a theme to reflection. Dostoevsky has told «beauty will rescue the world» and I more likely agree with it than with a phrase «the more I know people - the more I love dogs»
I think that people are capable to perceive energy proceeding from creativity and the creative person. And the more the person, the author, the creator charismatic personality, - the is more than admirers. I think, that Bach and its his sons, Mozart, Chopin, Vivaldi, Pachelbel is not passing values and it will be Always. Yours vetiver - ohhh as all of us we wait for it. Good weather and the good days of

    Andy–

Pachelbel was an introduction to the sublime for me. No matter how many times I’ve heard it, hackneyed and made mediocre by muzak in elevators, it still gives me goosebumps…

I think that our brains, on their way toward evolution, became more complex than can be accounted for by mere survival of the fittest. Our appreciation of beauty is one of the most human things about us. I’m thinking now of Frankenstein’s monster being moved by music from a violin. That was a sublimely human moment for him; his fear of fire was an animal, instinctual part. Enjoy the weekend, dear Andy! Hugs.

Isn’t beauty the essence of the deity in us? And also the desire of life to perpetuate life through the best parts, instead of just the functional parts?
    I think so…..
Canon by Pachelbel is certainly a sublime moment despite the commercialisation and it does bring in it the divine which brings a oneness with the world. The same as Bach cantattas do, most of the time.

Hope the kidneys made it all right ;-)

I join opinion helg. I think, that when the person creates - it becomes the God. Or it is the God proves to be through the person?:)

    Dear Vladimir
I go with Dostojevsky, indeed. Beauty will rescue the world. This is wonderful! On the side: I love dogs and sometimes, I understand why someone loves dogs more than people. But then, the more I get to know people, the more I see the beauty in human beings.
And finally: Yes, I think ( and hope so) too. Bach et al. will be for always. Maybe civilization will come to an end when we loose Bach.
    Dear Arhianrad
I was smiling when reading your comment. You mentioned a similar effect like finding exclusive perfumery components-and hence scents- in your washing maschine powder: Dripping down. Pachelbel is dripping down, too…into elevators or supermarkets, where you wander the aisles and start shivering. But I think Pachelbel will survive this dripping down into profane consumer worlds.

    Dear Maria B.
We for sure got complex brains (but sometimes not complex enough to handle our brain’s results in our world) and still: What is the reason for a singing heart when you see a sunset? Hugs to you, my dear
    Dear Helg
This is another way of looking into it. Being touched by some sort of God, we were given this gift to see the wonders. Yes, indeed, maybe.
