Chicken nuggets and an announcement

A day in the Alps is always nice and makes it quite easy to put things into perspective:

We are small compared to these stone giants. We are not made to live up there by nature. We are supreme creations of nature, having mastered electricity and hence manage to eat chicken nuggets on top of these giants, without having to climb….

I spent a decadent day, was transported all the way up to 3100 meters above sea level by various trains and lifts, and enjoyed a spectacular sunny day doing nothing but chat.

In the evening, Franco from Luckyscent and myself fixed the dates for my visit to his shop in Los Angeles (the official announcement  will follow later by Luckyscent):

April 26, 5pm and 7pm
April 27, 5pm and 7pm

And with this picture I send you my best wishes for the upcoming weekend.

Hi Andy. I so enjoy your blog, I’ve been lurking about, but not commenting. I pre-ordered my bottle of Reverie au Jardin from Luckyscent, very excited about that. Your perfumes are genius, truly. I love reading about the process of it all…thank you.

You must have had a great day and I agree that it puts things in perspective when up against nature and its elements. Luckily, man is also responsible for his own accomplishments which are no less wondrous in my mind.

Thank you for the lovely pic and good luck on arranging the upcoming campaign for the new scent.

    Dear Gina
thank you for your pre-order! Wow. have you sniffed it yet? If not: Thank you even more….
    Dear Helg
I sure was great. Totally relaxing and somewhat decadent. Usually, I go up there hiking, and look down at the folks using the lifts…. but I must admit that being transported up there without doing anything is nice too. It leaves more room to just enjoy the scenery. And think. about scents and men/women doing wonderful things.

Hi Andy…I’m ordering Reverie completely unsniffed, but I know I can’t go wrong with your creations! Hope you’re having a great weekend.

    Oh…WOW again!
Thank you, indeed. And … my weekend was close to perfect. Gym on Saturday, jogging today, sun and warmth on the balcony after jogging and some sniffing of frankincense….
Ah, and of course: 100 samples sent of on Saturday. Hurray.

Your weekend sounds like mine, a bit. Went running yesterday, will hike the mountains today, wearing a perfume that smells like clean green hay. Breakfast with a friend, sitting in the warm southern California sun. Perfection.

Hello Andy - I was a lucky devil and received my Reverie sample today in the mail! Thank you so much for your generosity and creativity. The scent is really lovely, but now that I hear what you are working on now, I am ready to buy a Tauer Spice unsniffed now. Can’t wait!

  8. Andy Says:

Wow, that was fast! Thank you for your comment.
Funny enough, I just published a post that deal remotely with unsniffed purchases…better read it ;-)
    Greetings

    Hello Andy!

Looking forward to seeing you at the ScentBar (and hoping that sample of RauJ arrives soon- I’m looking so forward to it)

Have you been to LA before?

  10. Andy Says:

    Hello tmp00
I was there a few times, but something like 8 years ago. Definitely time to go there again! The sample will be there after Easter… I hope!
    Greetings
