roaring twenties
I do not know how roaring the twenties for the average guy or girl were. I do not know much about the twenties anyhow except for the average stuff you learn in school, and what you find in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, a book by the way that I’ve read in my own early twenties.
Nevertheless: Twenties, champagne, prohibition, charleston, the movies, hollywood, women smoking, women dancing, black music, glamour,…. that’s about what I thought when getting the latest mod of my hyacinth lily of the valley in the woods play under my nose. There is glitter (less than before, I have decreased the aldehydes), there is dirt (I have increased the jasmine absolute), there is a movement (I have added a touch more Ionones), there are flowers, lots of them, heavy, like after a heavy rain in May, in the afternoon, when the sun comes out behind the clouds again, and suddenly the air is filled with the scent of a thousand flowers.
Well, …. we will see how this mod behaves. The nose hasn’t woken up entirely….

Fantastic comparisons Andy - I can almost smell the thing.
I am leaving for Dublin for several days and one of the perfume bottles with me is your L’air du Desert Marocain along a bottle of Creed Green Irish Tweed (I just had to take that). Stay well!

May favourite bit of The Great Gatsby is Nick’s synaesthesia as he gets progressively drunk at one of Gatsby’s party - the ‘yellow cocktail music’ he hears, for example.
I love the idea of your roaring 20s scent. Shall we get Chaya to dress up in a flapper outfit for it?

hehehe Leopoldo! Naughty boy you are. I will ask Chayaruchama, hehehe…hmmm and the synaestesia I do not recollect, but I guess I was simply to young when I read it and no clue!
Dear Konstantin, have a safe trip and enjoy Dublin. Greetings from winter wonderland.

Well, my randy pets-
I am almost 53 [nota bene, Mr. Andy is NEXT in line for the birthday brigade]- not QUITE old enough to have been a flapper- but I would don bugle beads for you boys, anyday…
I certainly have the gams for it !
And I will proudly anoint myself with whatever you deem appropriate, you scamps !
The scent sounds very exciting, Andy.
Kisses to all- [especially the ill-behaved duo]

I know from personal experience that you are a talented perfume maker, but I have to tell you how much I love your writing! Love the snowflakes and Diorissimo, trains and desert, champagne and Charleston. Thanks for your blog.

Now to business, do you think a confident, artistic, bald guy could wear this new creation of yours? It sounds glorious!
